Everyone asks the same two questions: what does it cost per month, and what do I actually get for it? Prices in Nigeria move with the exchange rate and supply, so we keep ours on one page — our Services & Pricing page, always current and VAT-inclusive. This article is about the part that doesn't change: what the price is made of, how the options compare, and how to tell a real price from a dangerous one.
The three ways to buy a GLP-1, and what each one includes
1. A branded pen to take home
Ozempic (semaglutide) or Mounjaro (tirzepatide), one pen = four weekly doses. You buy a pen when you want to self-inject at home after being taught, or when you are travelling. Mounjaro is priced above Ozempic everywhere in the world, and each higher strength costs more than the starting strength. The pen is the most expensive route per dose because you are paying for a branded, imported, cold-chain product — but it includes nothing else: no monitoring unless you book it.
2. Weekly shots given in clinic
Tirzepatide or semaglutide drawn up and given by our team each week, priced per shot and per dose step. A four-week "level" at one dose costs less than four single shots. Our semaglutide "Kim-K" shot is currently clearance stock at a reduced price; when it is gone the price returns to normal. This route suits people who want someone else to handle the needle, the storage and the dose, without committing to a program.
3. A monthly program
Four weekly tirzepatide shots plus two IV drips of your choice (Trillion Dollar Bawdy, Myers Cocktail, Glass Skin or Billion Dollar Bawdy) plus vitamin B12 shots, with a check-in before every dose change. Programs are priced per dose level and per month; the two- and three-month programs have a lower monthly rate than one month. Per shot this is the cheapest route, because the drips and B12 are bundled and the monthly rate falls with length.
The small print, so there is none
- Consultation — in person or virtual. Start treatment the same day and part of the in-person fee comes off your bill. Follow-ups within 12 months are free.
- Anti-nausea shot (ondansetron) — available in clinic on the rough days.
- Dose increase mid-program — you pay only the difference per remaining shot (a fixed top-up), not a new program.
- Payment — programs can be split 60% now, 40% at the second visit.
- No hidden fees — no "administration", "nurse" or "consumables" charges on top of the listed price.
What three months really adds up to
People compare a single pen price against a single program price and get the wrong answer. Compare the whole course:
| Route | What you get over 12 weeks | How the cost behaves |
|---|---|---|
| Three branded pens, self-injected | 12 doses, no monitoring unless you book it | Highest per dose; rises as your strength goes up |
| 12 in-clinic shots, à la carte | 12 doses, given by our team | Middle; a four-shot level beats four singles |
| 3-month program | 12 doses + 6 IV drips + B12 + weekly check-ins | Lowest monthly rate of the three, drips included |
The pen route looks cheapest per dose on paper, right up until you factor in that nobody is watching your dose, your nausea or your results. The program costs more upfront and tends to be cheaper per outcome — which, with a medicine that only works while you take it, is the number that matters.
Budget for the dose you will reach, not the one you start on. Most people step up two or three times in the first three months, and each step is priced a little higher.
Why some prices online are so much lower
A GLP-1 that costs a fraction of everything else is cheap for one of these reasons:
- It is not what it says it is. Re-labelled vials, "research peptides", or watered-down compounds are common. You cannot tell by looking.
- It was not kept cold. Pens that sat in a shop at 34 °C, or spent a weekend in a courier van, lose potency. You pay less for a medicine that does less.
- There is no clinician. You are paying for the product only. Nobody is choosing your dose, checking your history or telling you what to do when you vomit for two days.
- The real price comes later. "Consultation fees", "nurse fees" and "administration" charges appear after you have committed.
None of that means every affordable option is dangerous. It means the price should make sense for a genuine, refrigerated, supervised medicine — and if it does not, ask why.
How to decide what to spend
- Get the medical check first. A consultation tells you whether a GLP-1 is safe for you at all, and whether semaglutide or tirzepatide fits. See our Mounjaro vs Ozempic comparison.
- Budget for at least three months. The first month is adaptation; results build from month two. Starting and stopping is the most expensive pattern of all.
- Choose the route you will actually stick to. If you know you will skip clinic visits, a pen you have been taught to use properly beats a program you abandon. If you know you will skip shots at home, come in weekly.
- Plan the exit. Ask what happens after the program: maintenance dosing, tapering, and the eating habits that hold the result.
Current prices for every option are on the Services & Pricing page, and our GLP-1 weight loss page explains how the programs are structured. If you would like a quote for your own situation, book a consultation or ask us on WhatsApp.
Questions people ask
Why is Mounjaro more expensive than Ozempic in Nigeria?
It is newer, in higher global demand, and the manufacturer prices it higher everywhere. In Nigeria, import costs and the exchange rate add to that. Tirzepatide also produces more weight loss on average, which is why many clients still choose it.
Is the price per month or per pen?
A branded pen contains four weekly doses, so one pen is roughly one month at a steady dose. Our in-clinic shots are priced per weekly shot or as four-shot levels, and our programs are priced per month with drips and B12 included.
Where can I see your actual prices?
On our Services & Pricing page. Every price there includes 7.5% VAT and updates automatically when anything changes, so it is always the number you would be quoted at the front desk.
Can I pay in instalments?
Programs can be paid 60% upfront and 40% on your second visit. Ask at your consultation.
Is a cheaper compounded semaglutide safe?
It can be, if it comes from a licensed compounding pharmacy, has been stored cold, and is dosed by a clinician. The danger is unlabelled vials of unknown strength sold online. Our semaglutide shots are given in clinic from pharmacy-sourced stock, and we tell you the exact dose.
What happens to the price if my dose goes up mid-program?
You only pay the shot-price difference for the remaining shots in that month — not a new program. We call these titration top-ups and they are fixed amounts on our price list.
